SHAH ALAM, 30 June 2016 – If you own an older Hyundai model that is no longer under warranty, enjoy savings from participating Hyundai service centres which are now offering free labour on lube change service (engine oil and oil filter) for these models.
This initiative by Hyundai-Sime Darby Motors (HSDM) is to help customers save on the rising costs of living while keeping their cars well maintained. Apart from waiving the labour charge on lube change service, participating Hyundai service centres will also be performing a free 20-point inspection on cars which include brake pads, bearings, tyres, windshield wipers, radiator fluid, spark plug, etc.
According to Mr Lau Yit Mun, Managing Director of HSDM, the initiative would help Hyundai owners maintain their cars and enjoy savings. Customers can save an average of RM100 per service (depending on model) with this service offered by HSDM.
Servicing your car at an authorised service centre ensures proper maintenance and genuine Hyundai spare parts, which improve the lifespan of the car.
“We are constantly looking at ways of improving our after sales service as well as reducing the cost of ownership for customers and making ownership of a Hyundai, not only pleasant but also affordable. We would like to maintain a long-term relationship with our customers as long as they own a Hyundai car,” said Mr Lau.
Cost savings for after sales service is also extended to customers who purchase any new Hyundai models from 2016 and they too will enjoy great savings on their car maintenance through the newly launched ‘My Hyundai Care Programme’. With the revised periodic maintenance service schedule, Hyundai owners can enjoy cost savings of up to 15% and time saving of 30%.
‘Hyundai Care Programme’ offers three (3) packages namely :
▪ Care Basic
▪ Care Advance
▪ Care Advance Plus
Care Basic offers replacement of engine oil, oil filter and oil plug gasket. In addition to Care Basic, Care Advance also offers replacement of other maintenance items such as air filter, brake fluid, air-condition filter, spark plug, and coolant. Meanwhile, the Care Advance Plus package caters to those who require major servicing with replacement of Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF), engine belting brake fluid and air-condition filter. (This package only applies to models sold currently).
Apart from that, 200 lucky customers will also stand a chance to win RM300 worth of service vouchers when they service their cars between 1st June and 1st August. During this promotional period, customers with vehicles that are less than five years old will get up to 20% discount on selected parts and 10% discount on labour charges.
Customers can find out more about the promotion via the My Hyundai Care App or call Hyundai’s Customer Careline at 1-300-13-2000.
The My Hyundai App aims to provide customers with the convenience of obtaining automobile services on their mobile devices. That’s not all the app has to offer. From the app, customers will also be informed of new Hyundai models that will be launched, service campaign and promotions as well as technical service campaign for relevant models. The app which was introduced last year, is being updated and enhanced from time to time. Customers will have an improved experience with the launch of a new version starting the 1st of July.
